       BEFORE YOU BURN, BE SURE AND OBTAIN A BURN PERMIT! 

To get your Burn Permit, go online HERE. Watch the short video and complete the permit application. Be sure and keep a copy of your completed Burn Permit in an easily accessible location.

CLEAR THE AREA AROUND YOUR BURN PILE

You don't want your burn pile to spread through your property and on to your neighbor's, so clear at least a 10 ft clearance around your pile.

HAVE A WATER SOURCE NEAR YOUR BURN AREA

Have a bucket of water...or better yet, a working hose...quickly accessible. And burn only approved vegetation. No trash or construction materials.

BEFORE BURNING, MAKE SURE IT'S AN APPROVED BURN DAY

Before you light your burn pile, visit www.myairdistrict.com or call (530) 274-7928 or (530) 268-1023 to confirm that air quality restrictions allow vegetation burning.
