Behind the Scenes of Rough and Ready Fire Department

...is a group of community members and firefighters who actively work to support our Fire Department.

We meet monthly (the 4th Wednesday of the month at 7pm) at the Fire station meeting room (around back). We participate in a range of activities including making goodies for firefighter training nights, and a variety of FUNdraisers with the emphasis on FUN. 

We have several fund raisers throughout the year. We operate the Baked Potato Booth at the Nevada County Fair, the Spaghetti Feed and Secession Days Chili Cook-off (Celebrating when the town of Rough and Ready seceded from the union) AKA pancake breakfast. 

We also have charity fundraisers like "Fill the Boot " which is sponsored by the Fire Fighter Burn Institute, raising money for burn victims (civilians and fire fighters).

We are offering Supporter Hats, Shirts and cook books (which have several family recipes) at any of our community events and online, just click on the Online Store tab on the bar above this page.

The BTS group welcomes guests and prospective members to our meetings. We'd love to meet you and hear your ideas.  As always, thank you for your support. We are fortunate to live in an area that understands the importance of supporting the firefighters who work to keep us safe.
